Performance Vision Center
Sports Vision
Dr. Ross's sub-specialty is Sports vision. Sports vision is the science of helping an athlete see better so they perform their sport better. Seeing sharper (acuity), means seeing the target sooner and therefore having more time to react. Improving depth perception allows one to judge the distance to and the speed of a target more accurately. Better tracking lets an athlete keep his/her eyes on a moving target which provides for more accurate eye-hand co-ordination and timing. These are all measurable skills. Our office has instruments that quantify and measure these abilities. In most cases, they can be improved upon with proper training and/or eyewear. Dr. Ross has had proven success with athletes of all ages. Everyone, from weekend warriors to professional athletes, has the opportunity to see and perform better.
